Company history

2002

In May, Rolf Hemmann founded his one-man business HEMAG in the old wireworks building in Biel/Bienne.

The company specialises in the manufacture of small precision parts in tungsten carbide, ceramics and steel.

At the end of October, the changeover to Hemmann Schleiftechnik GmbH takes place.

His wife, Esther Hemmann, also actively helps in building up the company.

2003

In October, Rolf Hemmann and Christoph Ogi take over the Theilkäs Frères company of Brügg with all employees as part of a successor arrangement. Theilkäs Frères had been in the market for 30 years, specialising in the manufacture of tungsten carbide precision tools for chip removal. The company is rearranged under the name of HT Toolstar AG. Together with Hemmann Schleiftechnik GmbH, our customers can now be offered a well-rounded product portfolio.

2005

Esther Hemmann acquires the shareholding of Christoph Ogi.

2006

From January, son Michael Hemmann becomes part of our team.

2009

In June, the company headquarters are moved to new, modern premises in Ipsach.

At the same time, HT Toolstar AG is integrated into Hemmann Schleiftechnik GmbH.

Thanks to investments in high-precision machinery and measuring equipment and our very high quality standards, Hemmann Schleiftechnik GmbH has been able to position itself on the national and international markets.
